Central United 1-1 Heavitree Youth

Overall a good performance on Saturday, especially considering our lack of competitive football recently, in what was a very competitive match against one of the stronger teams in the league.
 
We made a really good start to the game and deservedly went ahead with a brilliantly worked goal; Zak Burnard made an intelligent overlapping run down the right wing and was played in by Zak WD's perfectly timed pass before driving in a low cross for Alfie to instinctively tap home.  

We continued to play the better football creating more chances and were unfortunate not to go further ahead before half time.  In the second half with the wind behind them Heavitree pressed more but some excellent defending kept them at bay until 5 minutes from the final whistle when a close range shot found it's way in through a busy 6 yard box to earn them a draw.

There were several candidates for Man of the Match but it goes to Zac Burnard for working tirelessly as ever in midfield and producing some great link up play including the excellent goal assist.  

Thanks to Luke for stepping into centre back last minute and putting in a really solid performance.

Hi all

I'm afraid i've been unable able to arrange a friendly for this Saturday but happy for us to get together at KGV for some training, so I'll be there 10-11am.  

Ross who manages Central Rovers U15s is a couple of players short for his game on Saturday against Exmouth, who play at Exmouth Town's pitch, and has asked if any of you would like to play.  If you are interested let me know and I will make arrangements.

Rearranged match

Our game against Sidmouth Warriors has been rearranged for an evening KO on Wednesday 3rd May.

Hi all

I have arranged a friendly for Saturday against Lympstone at KGV.  I know a few of you are going to the Plymouth v Exeter match so I have arranged a slightly earlier KO, 10am (9.30am meet).  If you are setting off early to make a day of it and still can't make the game that's fine but the offer is there to play first half and get away if you want to - just let me know either way please.

There will be no training on Saturday.

Rather frustratingly our game against Sidmouth Warriors on the 11th February has been re-arranged as they are unable to raise a team due to a school skiing trip, so i am trying to arrange a friendly instead.
