Congratulations to all of you for securing third place and getting promotion. Every one of you played a big part over the season and should be proud of yourselves.
We started yesterday's game with some brilliant fluid passing and soon went ahead with a great goal by George who rifled home a hard low shot. After that we sat back a little too much and allowed Brixington back into the game when we failed to clear a corner and they capitalised by scrambling the ball over the line.
A strong tail wind in the second half was as much of a hindrance as a help with through balls constantly being over hit and it looked like another goal was never going to come but some late pressure paid off when Andrew whipped a ball into the box that fell to Francis' feet who cooly slotted home a dramatic winner to seal his team promotion to league 1.
Man of the Match goes to Ted for another commanding performance at centre back - well done Ted!
Training this week is on Thursday at KGV 6pm to 7pm.
