Central United 2-3 Bideford Blues

Positives: Gutsy performance, 2 excellent goals

Areas to focus on: Looked vulnerable defending corners leading to 2 of their goals

Goalscorer's: Marcus, Zak WD

Man of the match: Goes to Sean for showing real bottle and team spirit to play his first game in goal in such a tough match and doing himself proud with some superb saves and great kicking too - well done Sean!

Worth a mention:  Ted took no prisoners in defence and cut out numerous Bideford attacks with some strong tackling.  Luke put in a another sterling effort at full back.

Manager's comments: Deservedly 2-1 up at half-time I felt confident we were going to pull it off but Bideford looked much improved at the start of the second half and dominated for 10 minutes getting level and, with their tails up, going on to get a third albeit rather fortuitously.  We did come back into the game but lack of match fitness having only played 2 games in 2 and half months started to tell and we just fell short.

Taking into consideration our lack of football I thought yesterday was an excellent performance against a full strength Bideford side and it's really encouraging that we ran them so close this time.

Training tomorrow night 7-8pm
