St Martins 1-0 Central United

If ever the phrase 'game of two halves' was to be used to describe a game then yesterday's was it.

We just didn't turn up for the first half and handed the initiative to St Martins who were clearly up for it from the off.  Whilst they're a good footballing side we made them look so much better by giving them too much time on the ball and they duly capitalised taking a 1-0 lead into the break.

It was great to see a reaction following our half-time team talk and in the second half we looked like a different side in every way and completely dominated the rest of the match creating numerous chances but unfortunately putting none of them away, largely due to their keeper who was outstanding.  St Martins were longing for the final whistle and just managed to hang on for the win.

Man of the match goes to Zak WD for a hard working performance with plenty of silky skills!

Mentions for Zac Burnard and Alfie who both had good games and were desperately unlucky not to get on the scoresheet.

See you at training tomorrow.

Jon
