Brixington 2-1 Central Utd

It was another close game yesterday but it was Brixington in the end who managed to snatch all 3 points.  In a goalless first half Brixington were the better side and were winning most of the 50/50 challenges and they remained very competitive in the second, however we did come into the game a bit more but didn't threaten their goal nearly enough.

Conceding another frustrating goal from a corner put us behind with it all to do but Matt equalised soon after with an excellently taken goal from a one on one with the keeper. Brixington regained the lead with a well taken goal putting us behind once again but this time with little time to reply.  We did pile on the pressure in the last 5 minutes going particularly close when Francis clipped the upright but, unfortunately, we couldn't make the breakthrough.

Francis win's the Match of Match reward for displaying great moments of skill on the ball and for his work rate.

We look like a team that has lost a bit of confidence at the moment and are feeling the pressure of being top.  I think we need to put the league table to the back of our minds for now and concentrate on getting back to playing good football and enjoying it, which is the most important thing of all.

See you at training tomorrow chaps!
